Experience the essence of Tuscany at MaMa Florence Cooking School, where you can enjoy a hands-on Tuscan cooking class and wine pairing with a professional chef. Learn how to create an entire meal using fresh, seasonal ingredients and indulge in delicious Italian wines, including a Vernaccia di San Gimignano white and Chianti Classico Reserva or Brunello di Montalcino red, paired with your appetizer, pasta dish, and main course. Cap off your meal with a mouthwatering dessert, such as the famous tiramisu or cantucci cookies, served with a special Vin Santo or limoncello after-dinner liquor.

Class description

MaMa Florence Cooking School offers a hands-on Tuscan cooking class with a professional, English-speaking chef who uses seasonal, fresh ingredients to guide you through the preparation of an entire meal, including an appetizer, homemade pasta dish, main course, side dish, and dessert.

 

The class includes a wonderful wine pairing with your meal, featuring a white wine, such as Vernaccia di San Gimignano, with the appetizer and pasta dish, and a red wine, such as Chianti Classico Reserva or Brunello di Montalcino, with the main course. The dessert is served with a special Vin Santo or limoncello after-dinner liquor. Halfway through the preparation, you will enjoy a break and a glass of Italian bubbly Prosecco, while learning about this sparkling white. The class provides a unique opportunity to learn about Tuscan cuisine, and to enjoy a delicious and authentic meal with fellow food and wine enthusiasts.

Important notes


  • Joinable cooking classes have a minimum enrollment of 3 people for course activation (except for Sundays which has a minimum enrollment of 5 people). Should the minimum not be reached for the day you have booked, we will contact you with a choice to: pay an additional fee to make the class private, change to another available date, or be fully refunded.
  • If you don’t see a specific class you are interested in listed on our calendar, let us know and we will try to activate it for you on the date you want.  
  • Because we only use fresh, seasonal ingredients from trusted local suppliers and farms, the cooking class menu will vary depending on what is available that day. 
  • It is essential that you email us ahead of time with any food allergies or preferences you may have so we can accommodate them.
