As you most likely know, Tuscan cuisine is world famous. But did you know that its most important dishes are from the Cucina Povera, literally the poor or peasant kitchen? This important culinary tradition comes from the Tuscan history of sharecropping farmers that lived in the hills and valleys of Tuscany using their very limited resources to create the most nutritious and filling foods possible. Born out of the necessity to utilize everything, items like old bread or vegetable and meat scraps were repurposed into delicious dishes such as ribollita and panzanella.

Discover the rich culinary heritage of Tuscany and learn how to cook classic regional dishes with a hands-on cooking course in Florence. Immerse yourself in the world of Tuscan cooking, using fresh, seasonal ingredients and traditional recipes passed down through generations.

Our experienced chef will guide you through each step of the cooking process, from selecting the best ingredients at the local market to creating a multi-course meal in our professional kitchen. Along the way, you will learn about the history and cultural significance of Tuscan cuisine, as well as techniques and tips for perfecting each dish.

At the end of the day, sit down to enjoy the fruits of your labor, savoring the flavors of traditional Tuscan dishes.
